Bertrand M. Childs

Bertrand M. Childs formerly of Pepperell and Littleton; 95 Pepperell Bertrand M. Childs, 95, formerly of Pepperell and Littleton, died on June 15, at Apple Valley Nursing Home in Ayer. He was born in Littleton on October 23, 1912, son of the late Ernest and Edith (Smith) Childs and was the husband of the late Eleanor (Willey) Childs who died in 1992. He grew up in Littleton and attended the Littleton School System. Bert worked at United Elastics in Littleton as a weaver for over 25 years before his retirement. He and his wife lived in Littleton, Ayer, and has made his home in Pepperell for over 30 years. His survivors include a daughter Marion Childs of Worcester, two brothers Earl Childs of California and Robert Childs of Canada, and a half brother Dick Hawkins . CHILDS A Graveside Service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ayer on Monday June 23, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Badger Funeral Homes, are in charge of arrangements.
