Arthur Coulter Obituary

Arthur N. Coulter enjoyed camping and gardening; 78 Tyngsboro Arthur N. Coulter, 78, of Tyngsboro died Tuesday June 24, 2008 at the Lowell General Hospital. He was the husband of Pauline J. (Richard) Coulter, to whom he was married for 56 years. Born in Lowell on March 26, 1930, he was a son of the late John and Cora (Gregoire) Coulter. Mr. Coulter was raised and educated in Lowell. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict on the U.S.S. Vulcan. He worked as a mechanic for Raytheon for 37 years until his retirement in 1995. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Church in Dracut. He loved spending time with his family and his dogs and also enjoyed camping and gardening. In addition to his wife, Mr. Coulter is survived by two sons Edward A. Coulter and his wife Anne of Hillsboro, NH and Paul R. Coulter and his wife Cheryl Ann of Pelham, NH; four daughters Paulette B. Joyce and her husband Fred of Acton, MA, Theresa E. Eriksen and her husband Steve of Tyngsboro, Kathleen A. DesSureault and her husband Larry of Amherst, NH, and Joanne M. Tassoni and her husband Rick of Nashua, NH; two sisters Alice Hayes of Florida and Rita Marchand of Worcester, MA; eleven grandchildren Robert and Katherine Coulter, Megan and Sean Joyce, Renee, Dawn, and Ryan Eriksen, Jason DesSureault, Michelle Day, Matthew DesSureault, and Aimee Tassoni; a great granddaughter Alaina and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister Doris Paquette. COULTER Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT on Wednesday from 4 until 8 PM. His funeral service will be held from the funeral home Thursday at 9 AM, followed by his Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 AM at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Dracut. Burial will follow in Tyngsboro Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472. Even though we moved to Florida many years ago, we have always managed to stay in touch with our dear friends from the past Pauline & Arthur. So glad we had the chance to see each other on our last visit to MA. three years ago.
