Donald Fleming Obituary

Donald P. Fleming member of the Highland Players; 74 Lowell Donald P. Fleming, 74, of the Highlands section of the Lowell, died Monday morning at Saints Medical Center. He was the husband of Mary I (Ross) Fleming, they celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary in February. Born in Boston, MA, June 19, 1934, the son of the late James and the late Sally (Cassidy) Fleming, he attended Wilmington Schools and was a graduate of Wilmington High School. During the mid 1950's, he served in the US Army as a Private First Class in the 2nd Armed Rifle Battalion 48th Infantry Division in Germany. Before retiring, Mr. Fleming was a plate maker at Goodway Graphics in Burlington for many years. He was active in the Highland Little League, both as an umpire and as a coach. He was also a member of the Highland Players. Besides his wife, Mr. Fleming is survived by a daughter Kellie Fleming Glascott of Chicago, IL: a son Patrick Sean Fleming also of Chicago, IL; three granddaughters Courtney Jean Fleming of Florida, Fiona Glascott and Ella Glascott both of Chicago; a grandson Eamon Glascott of Chicago; a sister Sally Ann Gallagher and her husband Richard of Connecticut; a brother Robert Fleming and his wife Margaret of Wilmington; several nieces and nephews; and a dear and close friend to the entire family Annmarie MacLeod of Lowell. He was also the brother of the late Anne Marie McDonald and the late James Fleming. FLEMING Friends may call at the O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 9 to 11 A.M. Thursday. A Funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11 o'clock. Burial in the Wildwood Cemetery in Wilmington.
