Barbara Goguen Obituary

Barbara L. Goguen of Billerica, Wang Labs retiree; 84 BILLERICA Barbara L. (Anderson) Goguen, age 84, beloved wife of the late Donald J. Goguen, died peacefully Thursday, at her home. She was born in Worcester, August 10, 1923, daughter of the late George M. Anderson and Beatrice L. (Allen) Anderson, was a graduate of Somerville High School class of 1940, and has been a resident of Billerica since 1952. After raising 9 children, she worked and retired from Wang Laboratories in Lowell. Mrs. Goguen most enjoyed time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her favorite hobbies included traveling, shopping, oil painting, and playing cribbage at the senior center. She is survived by her loving children, Stephen and Jane Goguen of Billerica, Paul and Lisa Goguen of Tyngsboro, Lawrence Goguen of Billerica, William and Jill Goguen of St. Mary's, GA, Douglas and Karen Goguen of Lowell, Michael and Sandra Goguen of Pepperell, Brian and Laureen Goguen of Billerica, Valerie and Shane Donahoe of Billerica, Donna and Gerry Field of Pelham, NH. Also survived by 18 grandchildren, William, James, Kerry, Jason, Justin, Julie, Brian, Tammy, Lilah, Jason, Janelle, Jared, Courtney, Adam, Corey, Ryan, Alanna and Sarah. Also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the great-grandmother of the late Jacob Casey. GOGUEN Of Billerica, June 26, Barbara L. (Anderson) Goguen beloved wife of the late Donald J. Goguen. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday at the First Congregational Church of Billerica, 18 Andover Rd., Billerica at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Billerica Council on Aging, 25 Concord Rd., Billerica, MA 01821. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery. Arrangements under the care of the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, Billerica.
