Hubie was such a great guy. When my dad had some serious health/cancer spells down in Florida, Hubie and Joan were there providing vital help and support to him and my mother. He was a true friend; I'll miss his sharp, witty banter.

Hubie and I were best friends and neighbors thru the 8th grade at Varnum and Lowell High. I moved away from the Lowell area and only saw Hubie one time after graduating Lowell High together in 1950.
As kids in the neighborhood and at school Hubie was a friend who always cared about the other guy. I remember he would borrow his uncles Terraplane automobile. Of course he was so careful with it. Hubie was a good athlete, especially baseball.
My prayers and good thoughts go out to his wife and family. May God richly bless your lives.

Hubie McQuade was a great guy, Principal, friend, and a heck of a
husband and father. I worked for
him at the Pawtucketville Memorial
School back in the mid 80's as the
school's Head Custodian and being
in my late 20's and being promoted I had so much to learn
and Hubie took me under his wing and showed me such a sense of humor, peppered with his respect, pride
and dedication to his position and love for all his staff and students, he was an original. We
had many early morning talks along
with his beautiful wife Joan. They
don't make families like this any more, eight kids, what a tight loving
fun family. They enjoyed life. Years have passed since
we last spoke but he was classy and
a friend to me, the whole family I send my sympathy, I know what its
like to lose a beloved Dad. My prayers and thoughts at such a loss.

Good folks and families are a continuous cycle. Some reside here some reside there, but always together in the heart and spirit. A little pain now only reinforces the eternity of warmth and loving memories.

Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you at this grievous time.

My deepest sympathy is extended to Hubie's family. I remember him fondly from my days as an employee of the Title I office of the Lowell School Department. His funny comments whenever he called the office always brightened my day! Even though he was a School Principal and I was a secretary, he spoke with me just as he did with other Principals. I always respected him for that.
