Nina Keir Obituary

Nina Keir formerly of Littleton; 81 Gardner Nina "Millie" (Noel) Keir, 81, formerly of Littleton, departed this life on July 3, 2008, at Heywood Hospital in Gardner. She was born November 28, 1926 in Malden to Thomas and Beatrice Noel. She spent most of her life in Littleton graduating from Littleton High School in 1944. In 1946 she married Willard F. Keir of Craftsbury, Vermont and they made their home in Littleton until her retirement in 1988 when they moved to Florida. Millie's working years were spent as an electronics assembler. In 1993, with the birth of their first grandchild, they returned to Littleton. Millie was a loving, caring and gentle soul always willing to lend a helping hand. When her health permitted, she enjoyed working at the Littleton Council on Aging meal site, joining in craft sessions and playing Bingo. Proud of her children and grandchildren, her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. Millie Keir is survived by her children Linda K. Thompson of Rome, NY; Brenda Keir of Colorado Springs, CO; Bruce Keir of Lunenburg, her sister Isabel Ursch of Littleton, her daughter-in-law, Carol Murphy-Keir and her grandsons, Timothy Keir and Andrew Keir, all of Lunenburg. And many nieces and nephews and friends. She was also predeceased in death by her husband Willard and her brother Chesley J. Noel. KEIR Arrangements are under the direction of Badger Funeral Home in Littleton. Visiting hours will be held at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St, Littleton, Friday from 3-7 pm. Private burial at Westlawn Cemetery, Littleton will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17 Chicago, Ill. 60601-7633 or the charity of your choice.
