Robella Smith Obituary

Robella Smith formerly of Lowell and Methuen; 93 Pepperell Robella (Desmarais) (Bedard) Smith, age 93, died July 7, 2008 at the Apple Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Ayer after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Oliver Bedard and the late Robert Smith. She was born in Manchester, NH on May 20, 1915, the daughter of the late Odillon and Eva (Desrosiers) Desmarais. She was educated in the Manchester School System. She was a resident of Methuen and Lowell and resided in Pepperell for over 24 years. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Pepperell. She is survived by a son, Arthur Bedard and his wife, Marjorie of Chatham; two daughters, Robella Coates of Wareham and Jeanne Laplante and husband Maurice of Pepperell; two sisters, Evelyn Bergeron of Haverhill and Teresa Boshart of Florida. She was a loving grandmother of 12 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 16 great-grandchildren. SMITH of Ayer, formerly of Methuen, Lowell and Pepperell died on July 7, 2008. Robella O. (Desmarais) (Bedard) Smith, age 93. Relatives and friends may call at the Marchand Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant Street, Pepperell on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 11, 2008 at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 28 Tarbell Street, Pepperell. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Andover, MA. Funeral Director, Normand E. Marchand
