Robert N. Martineau

Robert N. Martineau of Dracut, was carpenter, avid cook; 79 DRACUT Robert N. Martineau, a Dracut resident, the beloved husband of Rose M. (Hall) Martineau, with whom he celebrated 56 years of marriage, died Thursday, July 10, 2008, at Lowell General Hospital. He was 79. Robert was born in Dracut, a son of the late Phillip and Louise (Martineau) Martineau. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a carpenter and built several homes in the area. Robert was a communicant of St. Rita Church. He enjoyed making and selling crafts, reading, fishing, and especially liked to cook. Most of all, he cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren, and took great pleasure in telling them stories of the past. Surviving him besides his wife are two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna M. and Girard DeMange of Lowell, Joyce C. and Stephen Cerand of Mendon; a son, Dennis R. Martineau of Dracut; two brothers, Alfred Martineau of NH, Paul Martineau of Dracut; five grandchildren, Sarah Enos, Rebecca DeMange, Lee Cerand, Seth Cerand, Jade Martineau; and several nieces and nephews.
