Dear Wally, Jen and Christine, our deepest sympathy goes out to you and your families in suffering the loss of your dad. He was not only a very dear friend but he was my working collegue for many years. His sense of humor and practical jokes would make the work day alot easier. I am truely sorry to hear of the passing of your father and grandfather. He had a remarkable sense of humor, which everyone enjoyed. He also had a sensitive and caring persona and was always available to lend a hand or an ear. Our community is a better place because of Walter.

Dear Wally, Jen and Christina,
It was a priviledge and honor to have known your Dad. He was much more than a friend to me. He was always the shoulder to lean on when things got tough and often provided me guidance when I was unsure of how to proceed. He was truly a man that did not want to be not defined by his work or accomplishments, but chose to be known for the love he had for his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. We were proud and privileged to know your grandfather, and then your "Dad". He will always have a special place in our hearts!! He never spoke of his tour of duty in Viet Nam; he never wanted to be considered a "hero". We considered your Dad to be one of the finest people we knew, and we will always remember him with the greatest respect. It was with deep sorrow that I learned of Walters passing, we were friends in high school and as usually happens, we lost touch with each other. I will always remember him as one of the nicest people I have known, he was a friend to all and my life was enhanced for knowing him.
