Donald Dawson Obituary

Donald G. Dawson Dracut native, avid Red Sox and Patriots fan PUNTA GORDA, Florida Donald G. Dawson, age 62, passed away June 2, 2008 in Florida, having just moved to Florida from Hawaii. Born Sept. 26, 1945 in Lowell, he was the son of the late Albert E and Elizabeth T. (Primeau) Dawson. He was a graduate of Dracut High School. Donald played softball in local leagues for many years. Donald was employed at Methuen Construction Company for 30 years and retired in 2001 due to illness, as Equipment and Facility Manager. He is survived by two daughters, Cheryl and her husband, Jim Hurst of Hawaii, and Amanda Dawson of Methuen; a son, Jeffrey Dawson and his wife, Karla of Hudson, NH; five sisters, Dorothy Hill, May and Gary Harrington, Evelyn Dawson, Susan and Norman Phaneuf of Pelham NH, and Elizabeth and John Cepaitis of Nashua, NH; a brother, Albert E. Dawson Jr., and his wife, Patricia of Dracut; 3 grandchildren, Tommy Dawson, Ke'ala and Anthony Hurst. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and best friends for over 50 years, Tommy Golec, Teddy Rawlinson and Butch Basin. He leaves former wives, Alice (St. Cyr) Dawson, and Ann (Bradley) Dawson. He was predeceased by a son, Thomas D. Dawson who passed away in 1989. DAWSON A Memorial Service and luncheon will be held Thursday, July 17 at First Congregational Church, Pelham Center, Pelham, NH at 11:00 a.m. Donations in his memory may be made to Joslin Diabetes Center, Development Office, One Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215 or a charity of your choice.
