Irene Cabral Obituary

Irene A. Cabral formerly of Lowell; 91 Keeseville Irene A. Cabral, 91, of Keeseville, died Sunday, July 20, 2008 at the Meadowbrook Healthcare facility in Plattsburgh. She was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, March 5, 1917, the daughter of Severe and Elizabeth (Miller) Lambert. Irene attended schools in Lowell and graduated in 1936. In 1942 she met and married Cesar Cabral of Pawtucket, Rhode Island. They were married January 8, 1942 in Nashua, New Hampshire. Mr. Cabral was employed by the Lane Construction Corporation of Meriden, Connecticut. Irene accompanied him when he was assigned to Keeseville to share in the building of the Adirondack Northway. They purchased a home on Pleasant Street in Keeseville and Irene operated an antique shop there called the Treasure Trove for the next 20 years prior to retiring. Survivors include a stepdaughter, Alycia Bushey of Houston, Texas; one niece; and several nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, January 1, 1992; two brothers; and one sister. CABRAL A service will be held Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 11am at St. Joseph's Cemetery Chapel in East Chelmsford, Massachusetts with Rev. Charles Breault, officiating. Burial will follow in the Lambert family plot. Donations in her memory may be made to St. John's Church in Keeseville. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville.
