Kathryn M. Mackey

Kathryn M. Mackey formerly of Westford; 42 Tampa, FL Mrs. Kathryn M. "Katie" Mackey, age 42, of Tampa, FL, formerly of Westford, MA, passed away July 2, 2008, at her residence. She was born in Winchester, Mass. and graduated in 1983 from Westford Academy and in 1985 graduated summa cum laude from Becker Jr. College with a degree in travel and tourism. In 1986 she opened her own travel agency, Kay & K Travel which she owned and operated for 12 years. Katie moved to Tampa in 2004 from Westford, Mass. Presently she was working as Senior Director of Marketing for One Touch Direct. Katie loved to travel, especially to Bermuda where she made many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, William J. Johnston. Survivors include her loving husband of 12 years, Dean Mackey, her mother, Terri (Enos) Johnston, and brothers William "Chip" Johnston and his daughter, Amber and Thomas "T.J." Johnston, his wife Amy and their son, Billy, who was Katie's godson. Katie is also survived by her god daughter, Brianna Traficante and many other loving family members and friends. MACKEY Kathryn M. Katie was the beloved wife of Dean Mackey of Tampa, FL, and dear daughter of Terri (Enos) Johnston and the late William J. Johnston of Westford, MA. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 26th at The First Baptist Church, 173 Church St., Wilmington, MA from 10:30 -11:00 a.m. Immediately followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Katie's memory to Susan G.
