Nana, thank you for being such a loving and caring grandmother. I have all the respect in the world for you. People had you down for the count, but you wouldnt give up and you kept fighting. You believed in me, even when I didnt even believe in myself. I am so proud to be your grandson. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers. I will always remember all the good times that we shared. I love you and I will miss you.

Dear Jean, Diane, Bob & Tom
So Sorry to hear about MaMa, this is the toughtest part of life for us all.
With all she had to bear over the last several years, she faced everything with courage and hope.
You kids gave her so much love, care and most of all, your time. You all kept her forever hopeful and happy. Bless you all
We had such wonderful times together on Alfred St. I remember them with so much happiness.
Love to you all

We just learned of Joan's passing this afternoon and want Jean, Diane, Tom and Bob to know that our thoughts are with you. I could go on and on about the many many laughs we have shared at Alfred Street and always remember what a good sport she was---playing vollyball in the backyard or swimming in the pool---I can remember many summer days when I would get out of work early take a ride up and we'd sit by the pool and eat her delicious tuna salad sandwiches---I still haven't found anyone who could make them as good. Rest in peace Joan, you've had a tough time of it and now deserve a rest from all you've been through. We will always have fond memories of our time spent with you and the kids.
With our most sincere sympathy

My deepest condolences to the entire family. I have many fond memories of visiting Jean (my best friend!) in the kitchen of their Alfred Street home during our high school years and after -and seeing Joan cooking and sharing stories and always keeping abreast of what we were up to! Linda....
