Christos Drivas Obituary

Christos J. Drivas Lowell native, Raytheon retiree, Army vet; 78 NASHUA, NH Christos J. Drivas, 78, of Nashua, NH, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2008, at the Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. Born on June 5, 1930 in Lowell, MA, he was the son of the late James and Angelina (Haralambos) Drivas. Christos was educated in the Lowell Schools and was a lifelong resident in Lowell. Three years ago he moved to Nashua with his wife, Barbara. Christos served his country in the United States Army, during the Korean War. Mr. Drivas was employed by Raytheon for over 30 years, as a Senior Technical Writer. He was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell, as well as a member of the Greek American Legion. Christos enjoyed sports, gardening and helping friends and family. Besides his parents, Christos was predeceased by a sister, Helen Seccareccio in May of 2008. Members of his family include his wife of 21 years, Barbara M. (Norton) Drivas of Nashua, NH; one sister, Rose Antonopoulos of Nashua, NH; two brothers, John Drivas of Nashua, NH and Harry Drivas and his wife, Linda of Clermont, FL; two nephews, Charles Antonopoulos and his wife, Denise of Merrimack, NH, and Jay Drivas of FL; as well as two Great Nephews, Mitchell and Blake Drivas, both of FL. DRIVAS Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the ZIS-SWEENEY FUNERAL HOME, 26 Kinsley St., Nashua, NH 03060. A service will be held on Wednesday, August 13th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church in Nashua, NH. Burial will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Lowell, MA. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home, Health and Hospice Care, Community Hospice House, Attn: Development, 22 Prospect St., Nashua, NH 03060 or to the Merrimack Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Rd., Merrimack, NH 03054. In My Pocket
