Robert Coffman Obituary

Robert C. Coffman of Pepperell; 76 Pepperell Robert C. Coffman, age 76 of Pepperell died August 9, 2008 at his residence after a period of declining health. He was the husband of Jo-Anne (Soucy) Coffman. He was born on October 11, 1931 in Memphis, Tennesee, the son of the late James E. Wilson and Erin Coffman. He was educated in the Marigold, Mississippi School System. He served in the U.S. Army for 20 years. Serving in the Korean War, he was the recipient of the Purple Heart for action against the enemy near Paeksok-Tong, North Korea. In the 1970's to mid 1980's, he worked for the Civil Service Department in Fairbanks, Alaska. He was then employed for over 10 years by the Municipal Utility System in Fairbanks. After his retirement in 1995, he moved to Pepperell. Besides his wife of 33 years, he leaves a daughter, Addie J. Bryers and her husband, Robert of Vicksburg, MS; a sister-in-law, Myrtle Gardner of Pepperell; a niece, Lisa Wood and her husband, Christopher; two nephews, David Gardner and his wife, Nancy and Robert Gardner, all of Pepperell; a grand-nephew, Matthew Wood of Pepperell as well as his faithful companions, his two dogs, Jake and Kasscey. COFFMAN Pepperell on August 9th, Robert C. Coffman husband of Jo-Anne (Soucy) Coffman. There are no calling hours. The Marchand Funeral Home in Pepperell is in charge of arrangements.
