Jeannette Neary Obituary

Jeannette R. Neary formerly of Dracut, a Lowell resident; 90 LOWELL Jeannette R. (Laferriere) Neary, wife of the late Robert M. "Nick" Neary, died Monday, August 11, 2008, after a brief illness at Saints Medical Center. She was 90 years old. Jeannette was born in Lowell on June 9, 1918 a daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Sullivan) Laferriere. She enjoyed travel, reading, and was a longtime member of the TOPS club. Jeannette was a longtime employee of the former Beaconcrest Convalescent Home located in the Centralville section of Lowell. She is survived by her son, Robert Neary and his wife Christine (McCarthy) of Pelham, NH; a brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Barbara Laferriere of Garland, TX; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Edna Greenwood of Pelham, NH, and Pauline and Bill Hamel of Dracut; two grandchildren, Moira and Nicholas Neary of Pelham, NH; also many nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late Mildred Bigger, and Roderick Laferriere. NEARY Jeannette R., age 90. It being her request, there will be no calling hours. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 9 AM in St. Francis Church, Dracut. Burial will be private. For directions or condolences, please visit www.mckennaouellette.com
