Germaine Guillemette Obituary

Germaine L. Guillemette of Albany, GA, a native of Lowell, MA; 69 ALBANY, GA Mrs. Germaine L. Guillemette, 69, of Albany died Friday, August 22, 2008 at her residence. The funeral mass will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 10:00AM at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Rev. Ray Levrault officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in Crown Hill Cemetery. A native of Lowell, Mass., Mrs. Guillemette lived in Albany the past 31 years where she was a previous owner of Jay Wedding Decorations and Design. She was a Girl Scout Leader in Mass. She was also a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church and St. Michael's Catholic Church. She was a devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph (Joe Bob) Guillemette and a son Andre Guillemette. Survivors include three daughters, Yvette Goodwin and her husband Jimmy of Leesburg, GA, Lynn Vasquez of Mississippi and Suzanne Najbrt and her husband Martin of Atlanta, GA; six grandchildren, James Cloud, Heather Osorio, Jennifer Guzman, Raymond Harris Jr., Kevin Preston and Maggie Najbrt; 5 great-grandchildren, Emily, Mia, Cameron, Arlyn and Timmy; a brother Robert Castonguay and his wife Diane of Temple, NH and several nieces and nephews. GUILLEMETTE Memorial contributions may be made to Albany Community Hospice, PO Box 1828, Albany, GA 31702 and St. Clair's Community Center, 2005 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Albany, GA 31701. So sorry to hear about Germaine...For some unknown reason, I thought of her often throughout my lifetime...maybe because she was such a good person...She was my childhood friend all thru our school years and we hung out together, then, she married and moved away....
