Katina Browne Obituary

Katina Browne of Lowell, Textron retiree; 67 LOWELL Mrs. Katina (Scondras) Browne, of Lowell, formerly of Tyngsborough, died Saturday, August 23, 2008, at Lowell General Hospital, after an extended illness, aged 67 years. She was the wife of the late Edward Browne. Born in Lowell, on July 3, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Stella (Sperounis) Scondras. She received her early education in Dracut, having graduated from Dracut High School in 1959. She matriculated at Lowell Commercial College, earning an Associate Degree as an Executive Secretary. Mrs. Browne began her career with Prince Stationary, formerly in Lowell, and in the mid '60's she became associated with AVCO, where she met the love of her life, Edward, whom she married on September 28th, 1969. In 1970, she left the work force in order to raise her family, and in 1983 she became temporarily employed, until becoming associated with Textron, here in Lowell, where she worked until retirement in 1997. Mrs. Browne was an avid reader, especially enjoying romance novels, and took delight and pride in flower and vegetable gardening. She was a true Red Sox fan. She is survived by three loving daughters, Eileen Archambault and husband, Robert, of Townsend, MA, Kathleen Wooster and husband, Timothy, of Dover, NH, Linda Browne and fiancé. John Dooley, of Hudson, NH; a sister and brother-in-law, Toni and Steven Tsakalakos of Lowell; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Christos and Helena Scondras, and Gregory and Annette Scondras, all of Lowell; and James and Sharon Scondras of Largo, FL; devoted grandmother of four, Matthew Wooster and Daniel Wooster, both of Dover, NH, and Elizabeth Archambault and Catherine Archambault, both of Townsend, MA; her aunt, Barbara Lizotte of Lowell. BROWNE Died in Lowell, Aug. 23, 2008. Mrs. Katina (Scondras) Browne, of Lowell, formerly of Tyngsborough, aged 67 years. She was the wife of the late Edward Browne. Friends will be received at the MORSE-BAYLISS FUNERAL HOME, 122 PRINCETON BLVD., at Chester and Harvard Streets, on Tues., from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. Her Funeral will take place from the Funeral Home on Wed. morning at 8 o'clock, Funeral Mass to be offered at Immaculate Conception Church at 9:00 a.m. Friends who wish may make Memorial contributions in her name to Cancer Care Center of Lowell General Hospital, 295 Varnum Ave., Lowell, MA 01854. Dear Katina's family,
It was an honor for us all on MS3 to have Katina with us.
If we needed a break or just a smile and laugh we knew where to go to get one.
Thank you for sharing her with us. Being able to be with her in her last moments was an honor also. Remember that you have an angel over you at the wedding.
