Gene Ando Obituary

Gene E. Ando of Ayer and formerly of Ware; 86 Ayer Gene E. Ando, 86, of Ayer and formerly of Ware, passed away on Saturday in Ayer. He was the husband of the late Lorraine (Marcil) Ando. He leaves his daughters Cheryl Dupre and her husband Richard of Groton, Suzanne Whitcomb and her husband Robert of Ware and Laurie Ando of Lancaster, his grandchildren Todd Dupre of Kittery Me., and Jennifer Dupre of St. Kitts W.I. as well as his great grandchildren Julia and Charlotte Robinson of St. Kitts. He also leaves his sisters Irene Kardos and Elsie Bedocs both of Cleveland and Betty Milko of Phoenix. He was born in Cleveland son of Bert and Theresa Ando and was a long time Ware resident before moving to the Ayer area. He was a security officer at Umass-Amherst. A Warrant Officer in the USMC he served in the Asian-Pacific Theatre during World War II. ANDO Funeral services were private and held at the family's convenience. Charbonneau Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 54c Wayside Ave. West Springfield Ma. 01089.
