Eileen Earle Obituary

Eileen (Molloy) Earle of Lowell, St. Michael member; 91 LOWELL Eileen M. Earle, 91, a Lowell resident, died Friday, August 29, with courage and dignity. For 57 years she was the wife of Thomas Kenneth Earle who predeceased her in 1999. She was born in Lowell, the daughter of the late Labor leader John J. Molloy and the late Mary Margaret (Hindley) Molloy. A former resident of the Christian Hill section of Lowell, she summered in Dennisport, Cape Cod and, for the last 25 years, lived at Fairway Village, Largo, Florida, before returning to Lowell. Mrs. Earle was a graduate of Lowell High School - Class of 1935 and Lowell Commercial College. Among her occupations were office manager at Demoulas Supermarket on Bridge Street and kindergarten paraprofessional at the Molloy School. She will be remembered for her elegance and caring nature. Having a deep devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Theresa, she was a communicant of St. Michael Church in Lowell and a member of its Legion of Mary; at St. Catherine of Sienna Church in Largo, Florida, she was an active member of the Women's Guild. A former member of Mt. Pleasant Country Club, she enjoyed playing golf ,dancing, and traveling extensively throughout the United States and Europe with her husband and their many dear friends. She was a staunch Democratic activist who campaigned for every Democratic candidate for U.S. President from Franklin D. Roosevelt to John Kerry; this love of politics was passed on to her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Earle is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth T. and Mary Lelia (Ringler) Earle of Hadley, MA, and J. Michael and Eileen T. (Moran) Earle of Lowell; a daughter and son-in-law, Maryann and Donald A. Weeden of North Attleboro, MA; 12 cherished grandchildren; and 15 precious great-grandchildren; and several dear nieces, nephews, and cousins.
