Michael Walsh Obituary

Michael J. 'Red' Walsh lifelong Lowell resident; 65 LOWELL Michael J. "Red" Walsh, age 65, lifelong Lowell resident, died Friday, Sept. 5, at Lowell General Hospital, after a brief illness. He was born in Lowell on Oct. 12, 1942, the son of Sophie (Jarek) Walsh of Lowell and the late John Walsh. Red was formerly employed with Courier Citizenof Lowell, and also worked in the furniture and antique business. He enjoyed trips to Hampton Beach and horse racing. Besides his mother, he is survived by his son, Michael of Fitchburg; andhis daughter, Kelly of Cotuit; two brothers and a sister-in-law, John and Georgine Walsh of Pelham, NH, and Dr. Thomas Walsh of Tyngsboro; four grandchildren; several nieces, nephews; and many dear friends. WALSH At the request of the family,services will be held privately. Donations in his memory made be made to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements are in the care of the M. R.
