Earl Woodbury Obituary

Earl L. Woodbury of Westford, active at St. Catherine's; 96 WESTFORD Earl L. Woodbury, 96, of Westford, Earl L. Woodbury, 96, of Westford, formerly of Arlington, died September 18th, in Lowell. Husband of the late Bernadette (Fredette) who died September 9, 2001. He was born in Lexington, July 3, 1912, a son of the late Andrew Woodbury and Rosalie (Devoe) Woodbury. He was a graduate of Arlington High School, Class of 1931. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Woodbury was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. In his retirement, he spent winters with his sons in South Carolina. He was a longtime communicant of St. Catherine's Church and served as Lector and Eucharistic Minister. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and the Westford Golden Age Club. Mr. Woodbury is survived by four sons, Robert J. Woodbury of Marion, S.C., James P. Woodbury and his wife, Dorothy of Westford, MA, Thomas J. Woodbury and his wife, Marcia of Arlington. MA, and Joseph C. Woodbury and his wife, Barbara of Lake City, S.C,; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; and one great,-great-granddaughter. He was the father-in-law of Gloria Woodbury who died in July, 2008. WOODBURY Visiting hours at the HEALY FUNERAL HOME, 57 N. MAIN ST., WESTFORD, Friday (today) from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. His funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday at St. Catherine's Church, 107 N. Main St., Westford, at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial in St. Catherine's Cemetery.
