Ada Farnsworth Obituary

Ada M. Farnsworth lived in Shirley and West Palm Beach, FL; 83 SHIRLEY Ada M. (Jewett) Farnsworth, 83, formerly of Shirley and West Palm Beach, Florida, died Thursday, September 18, at the Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer. Mrs. Farnsworth was born in West Boylston, February 26, 1925, a daughter of George and Sarah (Carpenter) Jewett. Mrs. Farnsworth was the wife of the late William S. Farnsworth Sr. who died in 1974. Mrs. Farnsworth is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Barrie R. and Susan Farnsworth of Shirley, William S. and Nancy Farnsworth Jr. of Littleton; one daughter, Miriam J. Morehart of Leominster; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews including her niece, Judy Farnsworth Paré of Shirley. Mrs. Farnsworth is predeceased by three brothers, and two sisters. Mrs. Farnsworth was formerly employed for many years at the North Middlesex Savings Bank in Ayer as a Now Account manager. She also worked at the Kelly's Hallmark Store in Ayer. Mrs. Farnsworth was a member of the Trinity Chapel of Shirley. She was a member of the Mary A. Livermore Lodge of the Rebecca's, the Massachusetts Woman's Bankers Association. She also enjoyed bingo, crafts, knitting, camping and traveling. FARNSWORTH A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 22 at the T. J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Rd. (Rt. 2A), Ayer. Burial will be the Shirley Center Cemetery in Shirley. Please see www.andersonfuneral.com for additional information. A visitation period will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, P.O. Box 96280, Washington, D.C. 20077.
