Twelve years! So very hard to imagine! I think of you almost every day since I have moved and drive by your street so often. You were so kind to Brian; many friends couldn’t deal with a paralyzed person. He was devastated to lose you, and has joined you. “Friends Forever” couldn’t be more true! Safe journey, Dan. You will always be with us.

Dan was a funny guy. He was a good guy with a heart of gold that he protected with a humorous suit of armour.

To The Hollenkamp Family: I am so sorry for your loss, I am so sad to hear the news. Be proud of your son, he touched many lives.

To Dan: Even though you might not have known how many people loved you or counted on you, now you do, Dan. Rest in Peace.

To the Love of My Life: Daniel James Hollenkamp, may you rest in peace... I will always love and hold you dear to my heart. You have touched my life in such an unbelivable way that no matter where i go or what i do you will always be with me. Daniel had all of those great qualities that you would ever want or look for in a person! He never did anything less than his best at all times. He was so passionate about the things that meant the most to him. Dan use joke around and tell me all the time that he was a "rare breed" and i would sarcasticly reply "indeed you are honey indeed you are." The truth of it is that I would say that because he was just such a special unique person, and people as great as him just don't come around all that much anymore. I love you more than words could ever express! Thank you for devoting your everything to me & being the most amazing man i have ever met. I am forever grateful for every moment that we shared and every memory that we made together. I miss you terribly Daniel and would give anything to just be by your side... My heart goes out to Daniel's family during this unbelievably painful and confusing time and to everyone else who knew him who are grieving this unfortunate loss. Danny you will be forever loved and missed...

I lived with Dan when we worked in Nashua together. I will never forget the day he decided to wear his motorcycle helmet home from work while riding in the passenger seat of my car. I made sure we hit every red light just to see the faces of the other drivers. He would lighten up any room he walked into. "Cougar", you will be missed.
