Ruth Anne Jodry

Ruth Anne Jodry of Chelmsford; 69 Chelmsford Ruth Anne "Mimi" (Hays) Jodry, 69, of Chelmsford died Friday, September 19, 2008 at the Lowell General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Charles (Larry) Jodry, with whom she celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on October 26, 2007. She was born in Blacky, KY on September 27, 1938, a daughter of the late Hennison and Gertrude (Caudill) Hays. She attended boarding school at Stuart Robinson in KY, the family then moved to Kettering, OH where she graduated from Fairmont High in 1956. She worked for the Bell Telephone Company in Dayton, OH as a long distance operator. She was an avid reader and participated in the book club at the McKay Library in North Chelmsford. She was active in the water aerobics group at the Westford Regency Club and Health Spa and was a member of the Red Hat Society of Chelmsford. She was a child care provider for several families in Chelmsford and was given the nickname "Mimi" by the children. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and daughters in-laws, Geoffrey and Laura Jodry of Stow and Gregory and Christine Jodry of Cupertino, CA. She was the loving grandmother of 4, Zachary, Troy, Kyle and Dylan. She also leaves four brothers, Henison E. Hays Jr. and his wife Penny of Amarillo, TX, James D. Hays and his wife Marilyn of Fairborn, OH, Watson Hays and his wife Darla of Muscatine, IA, Wilson Hays and his wife Judith of Excelsior Springs, MO, two sisters, Ada and her husband Allan Combs of Fairborn, OH and Jacqueline and her husband Ronald Cumpston of Beavercreek, OH and many nieces and nephews. JODRY Ruth Anne "Mimi" (Hays) Jodry. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 4th at 4pm at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, 2 Westford St., Chelmsford.
