Perry Honeychurch-Hood Obituary

Perry Honeychurch-Hood of Lowell; 48 LOWELL Perry Honeychurch-Hood, 48, formerly Kenneth Hazzard James, died Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at his home, after a decades-long struggle with severe depression. He was the beloved husband of Tom Hood. Perry grew up in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. Travel and sailing were his passions. For the past six years, Perry and Tom also owned and ran a wedding video business. Perry and Tom shared their life together for 12 years and were married in 2004. Perry was a talented photographer who loved baking, entertaining, watching oddball movies, and spending time with family and friends. He was known for his outrageous stories and sense of humor, his personal style, and his love of animals. He was often a source of encouragement and support for friends and loved ones in need. Besides his husband, Perry is survived by his mother, Marguerite LaMar of Florida; his dear sister, Tracy James Bingham (St. Croix); brother, Jeffrey James (Massachusetts); brother-in-law, Jerry Bingham (St. Croix); sister-in-law, Linda James (Mass.); nephews, John Bingham and Kevin James; nieces, Chandra James and Shannon Bingham; his in-laws, Thomas F and Loretta Hood of Lowell, and Richard and Mary St. Onge of Methuen; and many lifelong friends including Ray Holland of Boston.
