One of THE most loving, best friends I could hope for. We'd been neighbors and friends, since the late 70's in Maryland. Claire was kind beyond measure. Her smile gave me confidence and JOY! I am still missing beloved Claire in 2021. I look at a perpetual "friends quotes" calendar, she gave me in 1995; and, thinking of her, I treasure both, daily.

Beloved Claire,
It is as painful to grieve, the loss of, our 30 year friendship, as it is to grieve your passing. However, you were more than my friend-you were a treasured part of our extended family too.
There has never been a more kind, gentle, and gererous soul, than you. We had some terrific times, didn't we?!
Remember going with Jeannie, Pam, Danny, Judy, Dorky, Timmy, and me, to our annual crab feast, at North Beach every year, for instance?! Those were the best times of my life, Claire dear. Thank you for leaving so many wonderful memories that help distract from your absence. Now, you are with some of those same, treasured, people in God's care...and God will be
ever SO good to you, my friend. You
deserve the happiness and peace, that eluded you on earth; and now, in Heaven, you can truly rest your precious spirit.
There will be good times, for all of us, together again someday. You
remain a part of my heart.
Love you,xo

When I am dead, my dearest
When I am dead, my dearest,
Sing no sad songs for me;
Plant thou no roses at my head,
Nor shady cypress tree:
Be the green grass above me
With showers and dewdrops wet;
And if thou wilt, remember,
And if thou wilt, forget.
I shall not see the shadows,
I shall not feel the rain;
I shall not hear the nightingale
Sing on, as if in pain:
And dreaming through the twilight
That doth not rise nor set,
Haply I may remember,
And haply may forget.

The LORD Is My Shepherd
1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters. Rev. 7.17
3 He restoreth my soul:
he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
I miss you my dear friend.
