Donald Farinato Obituary

Donald Farinato Air Force Veteran; age 73 TEWKSBURY Donald Farinato, 73, a longtime resident of Tewksbury, died unexpectedly on September 24. He was the beloved husband of Fleurette (Gagnon) Farinato since 1958. He was also the proud father of Donald J. Farinato, Esq. and his wife, Marianne (Saulenas), and was blessed with two grandchildren, Donald M. and Haley A., all of Knoxville, Tennessee. Donald was born in Cambridge on May 25, 1935, the son of the late John J. and Vera (Powers) Farinato. He was raised in Cambridge, and attended Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. He joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Germany after WWII ended. After more than 38 years of service, he retired from Raytheon where he was a department administrator at the Apple Hill plant in Tewksbury. Donald had a number of hobbies, including military history, and had a great appreciation of music and old movies. He is survived by a sister, Carol Forestier of Arlington; a brother-in-law, Henry Gagnon and his wife, Shirley of Indiana; sister-in-law, Janet Gagnon of Cape Cod; and sister-in-law, Patricia Gagnon of Lowell. He is predeceased by a sister, Joanne Simmons, brother-in-law, John Forestier, brother-in-law, Robert Gagnon, brother-in-law, Roger Gagnon, and sister-in-law, Pearl Bourdeau. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces. FARINATO of Tewksbury, Donald Farinato, age 73, died suddenly on Sept. 24, he was the beloved husband of Fleurette (Gagnon) Farinato. His funeral will be on Monday, Sept. 29 at 9 a.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, located at 1 Dewey St. on the corner of Main St. (Rte. 38), phone (978 or 800 in MA) 851-2950. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday, Sept. 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
