Matt was one of my best friends. Ever since the day I met him in 2nd grade he had the best sense of humor out of anyone that I had ever known. No matter what what going on in life, whenever you were around Matt, things seemed okay. Matt, I will miss you more than I can explain. Some day I will see you again and we can go back and forth telling jokes as we always did. I love you brother.
The Clown's Prayer
"As I stumble through this life,
help me to create more laughter than tears,
dispense more happiness than gloom,
spread more cheer than despair.
Never let me become so indifferent
that I will fail to see the wonder
in the eyes of a child
or the twinkle in the eyes of the aged.
Never let me forget that my total effort is to cheer people, make them happy
and forget at least momentarily
all the unpleasantness in their lives.
And, in my final moment;
may I hear You whisper:
When you made My people smile,
you made Me smile."

What a shocking loss. Matt was a great guy. I worked with him at the tribune as a driver for over two years. He was always so happy and a joy to be around. I hadn't seen him in years. I'll always remember some great times at the tribune with Matt.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family.

Matt, you are one of my oldest and truest friends. I had every class in high school with you. You were there during the years which formed the man I am today. You will be missed.
