Grace Cyr Obituary

Grace E. Cyr formerly of Dracut; 84 Nashua, NH Grace E. Cyr, 84, formerly of Dracut, died Friday May 16, 2008 at Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare after a long illness. She was born in Lowell, MA on May 6, 1924 a daughter of the late John and Ida (Cairns) VanDinter. Mrs. Cyr was a life long resident of the Lowell area and had resided at 171 Tyngsboro Rd in Dracut for over 50 years. Before retirement, she worked at the Dracut Mills, and also was a crossing guard and a special police officer for Dracut. She is the widow of Bernard Cyr and is also predeceased by two sons, Paul and Brian Cyr and two brothers, Robert & Walter VanDinter. Members of her family include, two sons and a daughter in-law, John and Laurie Cyr of Merrimack, and Steve Cyr of Florida, three daughters and three sons in, Patricia and Paul Milot of Nashua, Sheila and Roger Turnquist of Merrimack, and Bernadette and David Smith of Punta Gorda, FL, 16 Grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. CYR A graveside service will be held Sat. Oct. 4, 2008 at 9:30 AM in Edson Cemetery, Lowell, MA.
