Always Remember

October 14, 2008

Working at JFC for 27 years I had the opportunity to meet Harold Ansin early on in my career. He always impressed me as being one of the great entrepreneurs of his time. Not only knowledgeable about the business but someone who always took time to walk through the facilities, talk to his employees and actually listen to what they had to say. I have always tried to live up to his example. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I met Mr. Ansin about three years ago when I was working with his daughter, Betty Ansin Smallwood, in Massachusetts to train teachers. I loved his sharp mind and wit, as well as his interest in our work and sense of humor. We watched the Super Bowl together--something I'd never done since my childhood back in New Jersey. I wish to send my condolences and sympathy to Betty, my colleague and friend, and to her family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
