Gonsalo V. Cabral retired from Honeywell; 90 TEWKSBURY Gonsalo V. Cabral, age 90, a well known member of Tewksbury's Senior community, died peacefully on Monday morning, Oct. 27, at his home, surrounded by his family, following a year long period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of Mary G. (Verduga) Cabral, with whom he had celebrated 49 years of marriage on August 29th. He was born in St. Michael, Azores on March 4, 1918, a son of the late Antonio and Idalina (Ambar) Cabral, and emigrated to the United States 55 years ago. Mr. Cabral was active in the events of the Tewksbury Senior Center, was a communicant of St. William's Church, and a 35th Degree Mason, with the Wamesit A.F. & A.M. Lodge in Tewksbury. He retired from Honeywell in Billerica 25 years ago, after working as a electrical design engineer for three decades. Besides his wife, he is survived by four children, George Delgado and his wife, Theresa of Milford, NH, Marie Delgado of Tewksbury, Betsy Forte and her husband, Jerry of Billerica, Gonsalo V. Cabral Jr., and his wife, Jennifer of Milford, NH; a brother, Alberto Cabral and his wife, Carmen of the Azores; five grandchildren, Annemarie Delgado of VA, Troy Delgado of NH, Christina Forte of Billerica, Christopher Cabral of Pepperell, Katie Cabral of NH; one great-granddaughter, Alicia Pullen of VA; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
