Fayetteville, PA Barbara Lillian (Weston) Morse died in Fayetteville, Pennsylvania October 25, 2008 at the Village of Laurel Run.
She was the daughter of the late John and Lillian (Kelly) Weston in Wilton, NH born on April 18, 1920. And was the wife of the late Albion W. Morse who died in 1998. She graduated from high school in Lancaster in 1937.
Barbara met her late husband Albion at a square dance. They were married in Pepperell, MA on April 11, 1942.
She was a stitcher at the Bemis Bag in Pepperell, during the war years. Later Barb and Ben ran service stations in Littleton, and Pepperell.
They bought land and built a camp on Lake Massapoag, Dunstable. Barbara was always fixing hotdogs, hamburgs, and potato salad for guests. There was always coffee for visitors. Barbara, a child of the depression, was a hardworking lady yet always found energy to go dancing.
In Dunstable she sewed doll clothes commercially for Totsy. Later she worked in the cafeteria at Sanders, Assoc. in South Nashua, NH. They also lived in Hollis, NH and Mason Street, Pepperell, MA.
She is survived by her children June and Tom LaVigueur, Nikolaevsk, AL and Cynthia and Ronald Beury, Fayetteville, PA. Barbara has seven grandchildren and almost 14 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sisters, Constance Valley and Mildred Moore and a large extended family.
She loved her grandchildren and made many quilts for them. She even went to Alaska, "that God forsaken place" to visit - once.
The last two years Barbara resided at Village of Laurel Run in Fayetteville, PA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben and by her brother, Charles 'Buddy' Weston.
