Emily Whitcomb of North Chelmsford, St. John member; 94 N. CHELMSFORD Mrs. Emily (Fetsman) Whitcomb, of North Chelmsford, MA, died peacefully Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at the Meadow Lodge Assisted Living in North Chelmsford, MA. She was married to the late Mr. Raymond Whitcomb who died October 31, 2003. Born in Passic, New Jersey on April 23, 1914, the daughter of the late Edward and Anna (Bradock) Fetsman. She was a graduate of Clifton High School with the class of 1930. She was one of the founding members and President of the Rosary within St. Philip the Apostle in Clifton, NJ where she was the CYO Secretary until her retirement in 1969. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of N. Chelmsford. Emily was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, as well as spending quality time with her family and friends especially her 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Murphy of Roanoke, Virginia, and Betty Ann Murphy of N. Chelmsford, MA; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Emily was the sister of the late Cecilia Nester of Wayne, NJ who died March 17, 2008, and the late Veronica Fetsman. WHITCOMB Emily Whitcomb of N. Chelmsford died Nov. 5, 2008. It being Emily's wish there will be no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held Sat. at 9 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 115 Middlesex St., N. Chelmsford, MA.
