Sharon Thompson Obituary

Sharon A. Thompson of Chelmsford; 46 Chelmsford Sharon A. Thompson, 46, of Chelmsford, formerly of Jamestown, died on Friday, November 14, 2008 in the Lowell General Hospital. A Massachusetts resident since 1981 she was born May 6, 1962 in Jamestown the daughter of Lawrence J. and Frances Larson Thompson, Jr. Sharon was a 1980 graduate of Jamestown High School and attended Jamestown Community College and Elizabeth Seton College; formerly she was employed at the Resource Center in Jamestown and was a house manager for Nexus, Inc, in Woburn, for over 20 years. She was formerly a communicant at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Jamestown. She was dedicated to the caring of the developmentally disabled and she was very devoted to her nieces and nephew. Surviving are her mother Frances Larson Thompson Peterson of Bradenton, FL; a sister Susan T. (James) Francisco of Chelmsford (with whom she made her home); two nieces, Emily A. and Jennifer L. Francisco and a nephew Matthew J. Francisco all of Chelmsford; an aunt Mary Fedorka of Bradenton, FL; and cousins Julie, Michael and Nicole Lorigan all of Hingham, MA, Alan and Cindy Watson, Marybeth Watson, Mark and Karen Erikzon, Kendal, Amanda and Lauren Erikzon all of Concord, NC, Scott and Alicia Watson, Timothy and Gregory Watson, Scott and Ronnie Watson and Sierra Watson all of Charlotte, NC, David and Diane Sykes of Bradenton, FL, Carol, Katie, Carleigh and Nicholas Fedorka all of Meadville, PA. Sharon was preceded in death by her father Lawrence who died May 18, 1975 and her step-father Leman G. Peterson, Jr who died July 17, 1996. THOMPSON A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday in the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Dennis W. Mende, pastor, will be celebrant. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home, 805 West Third St, Jamestown, NY. A Christian Wake Service will be led at 1:45pm on Wednesday in the funeral home. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of WNY, 4976 Transit Rd, Depew, NY, 14043; or the Resource Center, 880 E. Second St, Jamestown, NY, 14701.
