Sheila Giblin Obituary

Sheila Giblin of Dracut, Ste. Marguerite member; 60 DRACUT Sheila (O'Brien) Giblin, 60, a longtime resident of Dracut, died Wednesday, November 19th, at Lowell General Hospital, after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of William H. Giblin III who died August 7, 2008. She was born in Boston, on September 15, 1948, and she was the daughter of the late Robert P. and Dorothea P. (Cadigan) O'Brien. In her early years, she lived in Brockton with her family, and she attended Boston schools. Mrs. Giblin spent her life tending to the needs of her home and family. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time at her cottage in Maine. She also enjoyed animals, and collecting whatever caught her eye. She was a communicant of Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish at St. Therese Church in Dracut. She is survived by a son, Christopher R. Giblin of Dracut, and his fiancée, Katie Maher of Ipswich; a daughter, Kerrie L. Giblin of Dracut; two sisters-in-law, Mary O'Brien of Quincy, and Judith Lupo and her husband, Sal of Dracut; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. She was also the sister of the late Kevin O'Brien. GIBLIN Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Sunday from 2 until 6 PM. Her funeral will be held form the funeral home on Monday at 8 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9 AM at Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Church in Dracut. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery in Tewksbury. Those who wish may make donations in her name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. My mother Sheila Giblin was such a caring and strong person. I know that she is with my father William and they are both out of their sickness and pain. There will never be a day that goes by that I will not miss and think about them.
