Maureen Gustafson Obituary

Maureen M. Gustafson lived in Burlington for four decades; 78 BURLINGTON Maureen M. (Yarnell) Gustafson, a longtime resident of Burlington, passed away at the Walden Rehabilitation & Nursing Center on Wednesday morning, November 19, 2008. The wife of the late Clarence Gustafson, she was 78 years old. Maureen was born in Cambridge. She was the daughter of the late Patrick and Theresa Yarnell. She was raised and educated in Cambridge. Maureen and her husband settled in Burlington in 1966. She retired from the Telephone Company on High Street in Boston where she worked for many years. She enjoyed many special friendships and looked forward to having her breakfast every morning with her close group of girlfriends. Maureen was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother that will be deeply missed. Maureen is the beloved wife of the late Clarence. She is the loving mother of Mark Gustafson & his wife, Deborah of Burlington, Martin Gustafson & his wife, Melody of Florida, and the late Michael Gustafson. She is the sister of Joan Haley of Hudson, Kevin Yarnell of NC, and the late Marie Yarnell, Cecelia Billotte & Eugene Yarnell. Maureen is also survived by 4 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. GUSTAFSON Gustafson, Maureen M. (Yarnell) of Burlington, Nov. 19. Beloved wife of the late Clarence. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Malachy's Church, 99 Bedford St., Burlington on Saturday, November 22 at 10 a.m. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Interment in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Maureen's name may be made to the Walden Rehabilitation Employee Fund, 785 Main St., Concord, MA 01742.
