Raymonde Kiersey Obituary

Raymonde Kiersey 6-23-1923 to 11-21-2008 MELBOURNE BEACH, FL Raymonde Kiersey, 85, of Melbourne Beach FL, died peacefully Friday, November 21, 2008. Born June 8, 1923 in Paris, France to the late Louis and Yvonne Jammet; Raymonde moved to Dublin, Ireland at the age of 5. Married in 1945 to her beloved husband of 63 years; Donald, the couple moved to the United States arriving first in Rochester, MN, and then finally settling in Dunstable, MA. Ray and Don enjoyed traveling by van up and down the East coast spending summers in Cape Cod and winters in Melbourne Beach, FL where they eventually retired. Raymonde possessed an array of talents including, quilting, sewing, and gardening; she was also an accomplished painter. Raymonde possessed a gentleness and kind spirit that deeply touched the lives of everyone she met. She was an extraordinary person, a true friend, devoted wife and adoring mother. Raymonde is survived by her husband, Donald, 90; three children; Thomas, Liza and Michele; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; a sister, Roisin Hood; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. KIERSEY Calling hours are Nov. 24, 2008, Monday evening at 5-7 p.m. at Brownlie-Maxwell Chapel in Melbourne, and the Services are being held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Melbourne Beach, FL at 11:00 A.M., Nov. 25, 2008 on Tuesday.
