Sophie T. Sousa of Lowell; 91 LOWELL, MA Sophie T. (Poswiata) Sousa, age 91, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008 at a local healthcare facility in Lowell. She was the wife of the late Charles A. Sousa who died in 1984. She was born in Lowell on August 31, 1917, a daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Zajdel) Poswiata. Sophie resided in Lowell, and also New Jersey from 1953 until 1986. She leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Robert C. Sousa and Helen M. Foster of Eatontown, NJ; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Anna Masson of Dracut, Loretta and Thomas Hood of Lowell; a brother, Charles Poswiata of Lowell; two grandchildren, Jonathan F. Sousa of Ennis, Ireland, and Jared B. Sousa of N. Brunswick, NJ; also many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John, Frank, Joseph and Chester Poswiata.
