Sophie Sousa Obituary

Sophie T. Sousa of Lowell; 91 LOWELL, MA Sophie T. (Poswiata) Sousa, age 91, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008 at a local healthcare facility in Lowell. She was the wife of the late Charles A. Sousa who died in 1984. She was born in Lowell on August 31, 1917, a daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Zajdel) Poswiata. Sophie resided in Lowell, and also New Jersey from 1953 until 1986. She leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Robert C. Sousa and Helen M. Foster of Eatontown, NJ; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Anna Masson of Dracut, Loretta and Thomas Hood of Lowell; a brother, Charles Poswiata of Lowell; two grandchildren, Jonathan F. Sousa of Ennis, Ireland, and Jared B. Sousa of N. Brunswick, NJ; also many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John, Frank, Joseph and Chester Poswiata. SOUSA At the request of the family, funeral services will be held privately. The Family of Sally Sousa.....
Sally was a wonderful woman and I thoroughly enjoyed her presence. She always had a smile on her face and appreciatedall that staff did to assist her. She will be deeply missed by the staff and residents of the BMV Congregate.
