To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

To Family & Friends of George
It is so hard to carry the loss of someone you loved so much and over time it is said you will move on and pick up the pieces although at times this may seem so hard your memories will keep his spirit alive in your hearts for all eternity, keep those close and cherish every moment you had with him here on earth. My thoughts and prayers are with you all in this time of need. God Bless.
Love,

to all of George's family, our deepest sympathy. He was really good with our son Brandon and I will never forget after working all day into the evening, he would still call to take our son out to play ball with Joey at the park. He was fun to be around and always had a friendly , caring disposition. He loved Tracy and Joey very much. We will miss him very much!
To Joey, I want you to know, you are welcome any time at our home. Take things one day at a time. Someday you will have a wife and family of your own. It is something to look forward to. Both your Mom and Dad were great friends and we will never forget them! Keep strong! God Bless you and keep you.

There's a new angel in heaven and his name is George. We both knew and worked with George at the Lowell Post Office for many, many years. He always had a smile on his face and always asked about others - not a selfish bone in his body. He never removed his wedding ring after losing his precious Tracy - always remember Joey that love is forever!

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

I met George several times through working with his son and Joey being friends with my children. What a shame he is gone. Joey, please know that you are in our hearts and prayers and if there is anything we can do, do not hesitate to call. Love and condolences to the whole Kilmartin family. George will be missed by many.

I am shocked to read about George passing away. He came into my office about a month ago with a question regarding his home which had a fire. I told him how I remembered his father, and what a great guy he was. We talked about the Shea campaigns that the Kilmartin Family always had a hand in. I only saw him once in awhile, but he always said hello with a smile. May he rest in peace.

We were so sorry to hear the sad news. I never met a nicer guy than George. He is part of so many great memories I have of growing up on Belle Ave. It was great to cross paths with him again when we moved to Dracut. I will miss seeing him around town and talking with him about the Red Sox. Our deepest sympathies
