Frances Carmichael Obituary

Frances M. Carmichael of Lowell, enjoyed cooking; 95 Lowell Frances M. (Walker) Carmichael, 95, a longtime resident of the Highland Section of Lowell, died Sunday, November 30, 2008. She was the beloved wife of the late J. Robert Carmichael who died in 1997. Frances was born in Corey, PA on May 28, 1913 the daughter of the late Charles W. and Millicent (Sowter) Walker. She was a former member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Lowell. Mrs. Carmichael loved her family, and was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed preparing meals for family gatherings, and leaves behind many treasured recipes. She is survived by her two children, Robert C. Carmichael and his companion Anne F. Riley of Newburyport, and Susan R. Frost and her husband George A. of Dunstable; five grandchildren, Holly C. Grant, J. Robert and Sarah Carmichael, and Scott and Jonathan Frost; and three great grandchildren, Tucker and Casey Carmichael, and Nathan Frost. CARMICHAEL Frances M. Carmichael. It being her wishes, a PRIVATE family service was held. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in Frances' name may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc. 311 Arsenal St. Watertown, MA 02472.
