Mazen Alwarad

Mazen Alwarad of Lowell, born in Syria; 37 LOWELL Mazen Alwarad, 37, of Lowell, died Saturday morning from wounds following an attack at work. He was the husband of Wadia Khabazeh. He was born in Damascus, Syria, September 29, 1971, the son of the late Elias Alwarad and the late Antwanet Makdesy. He was a Jeweler by profession and employed by Jared Jewelers of Manchester, NH. In addition, he worked at the Seven/Eleven Store at Chelmsford and Westford Streets. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Kenan Alwarad; a step-daughter, Linda Lutfi, both of Lowell; his mother and father-in-law, Salim and Lila Khabazeh of Lowell and family; a sister, Sahar Alwarad of Syria; three brothers, Samer Alwarad, Louay Alwarad and Rami Alwarad, all of Syria; a stepmother, Diaa Shaheen of Syria; four nephews; and many friends. ALWARAD Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Service at ST. GEORGE ANTIOCHIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. Burial in Damascus, Syria.
