Mr. Sullivan,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USN during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Eulogy
Family loved ones, neighbors, and friends. We are here together today to honor and remember a special man. Not to say our final goodbyes to frank Robert Sullivan, but to let him know he was loved and cherished. We are here to tell him how deeply he will be missed, and that he will never be forgotten. His presence will be with us always. Our memories of him will never die. We will have them until we meet again.
Those who knew my grandfather as Frank, Bob, Sully, Dad, or Grampy knew him to be a pleasant, witty, kind, humorous, tender, most loving and gentle man. He loved making each of us laugh, and this he did until the very end of his time spent with us. He enjoyed a wonderful, long, healthy happy life. My grandfather enjoyed family time, mealtime, trips to Rockingham, Saratoga, and daily morning coffee trips. He enjoyed games, lotteries and sports. I don’t think any of us can remember him losing a game of Croquet or mini-golf. But can remember that look he gave if he thought he might lose. He was a lover of animals as well, especially dogs. Most times he was getting a second serving of food; it was because he had fed the first half of his meal to a family dog. One of his recent favorites was named after him, my mom’s puppy Sully. He was a kind, beloved and loyal husband for 61 years. He was a kind, open and devoted father for over fifty years. He was also a kind, humorous, fun loving grandfather for 35 years, and an easy going great grandfather for 18 years. For many others he was an uncle, a neighbor or a friend.
Frank Robert Sullivan our, family’s heart and soul was born on April 29, 1921, this giving him the sign of the Taurus. Taurus means determined and peaceful. This he was. He was determined to spend as much time he could for as long as he could with his wife and his family. His passing after 87 years we pray and believe was peaceful as well. He was surrounded by his family and those who loved him dearly and held him close. My grandfather enjoyed reminiscing, remembering and telling stories from his past, as much as he also enjoyed each present day. Each of us will enjoy and have our own special memories of him to remember and retell. He would never tire of conversation, whether in person or on the phone. He could talk for hours, but the only loud and startling sound that ever came from his mouth was his sneeze. Till this day I don’t know if it was natural or to make us laugh which he did most often. He would never tire of getting each generation of his grandchildren the much enjoyed marble game we all loved so much.
He loved those who loved him. He cherished each one of us, just as we cherished him. Each one of us had our own special relationship with him. We were all blessed by his presence and each shown his love and affection.
Grampy we will never forget you and cannot begin to imagine life without you. Never will a day go by that you are not thought of, never a gathering without memories and stories of you. We know you are watching over us now and we will miss you terribly. You have always been and will continue to be a comforting soul. You will remain in our hearts, minds, and souls forever, until we meet again. We love you.

Grampy-Kevin couldn't have said it any better. You were an amazing guy. I loved your sense of humor. I wish there were more people around like you too. I love you so much. I will cherish all the memories I have with you forever and when I have children someday they will learn how much of a wonderful person their great-grandfather was. You will be in my heart forever. You don't have to worry, we will take care of Nanny. I know you will be watching over us at all times. I love you Grampy.....

Grampy - There were not too many guys like you in this world. Everyone that knew you needs to take a page out of your book; you were a truly honorable, caring, sweet, honest, and hilarious man. Words cannot express how much I will miss you.
