Anna Leclair Obituary

Anna M. Leclair longtime resident of Lowell; 91 Lowell Mrs. Anna M. (Gagnon) Leclair, age 91, a longtime resident of Lowell died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, December 9, 2008 at Saints Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Armand A. Leclair who died in 1993. Born in St. Cantin, Canada on September 18, 1917 she was a daughter of the late Xavier and Malvina (Lemieux) Gagnon. She was a parishioner of the former Ste Jeanne d'Arc Church and more recently a communicant of the Parish of Saint Rita. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a stitcher for over twenty years for the former Ideal Dress Company. Mrs. Leclair had a passion for sewing and had much enjoyment for spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Surviving her are two sons and a daughter in law, Alfred A. Leclair and his wife Marilyn of East Chelmsford, and Raymond P. Leclair of Washington, DC; a daughter and son in law, Priscilla M. McDonough and her husband Terrence of Tyngsboro; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren; a sister, Rose Lemire of NH; a sister in law, Alice B. Gagnon of Lowell; also many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Marie Anne Morin, Leontine Levesque, Ernestine Noonan and Albertine Rolfe. LECLAIR Mrs. Anna M. (Gagnon) Leclair. Relatives and friends may call at the ROLAND W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 308 Pawtucket St, Lowell, on THURSDAY MORNING from 9 until 10:30 o'clock. Her funeral will follow with a funeral mass to be celebrated at 11 o'clock in the Parish of Saint Rita Church, 158 Mammoth Rd, Lowell. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
