Jean,
How sorry I am to hear about Jack. My Dad told me yesterday and I am still in shock. I have been thinking of all the years we have known each other and how I always looked forward to seeing you both when I was back home in Lowell.
Please know that you and your family are in our prayers. Love, Carolyn and Paul

Hanging at Marie's on Wednesday nights, Renet and Brian, Debbie, Jack and I. Jack brought us a lot of laughs and giggles over the years; his “stories” were guaranteed to bring a smile to our faces and a chuckle to our souls. He was a good man and all who knew him were so fortunate that God allowed for our paths to cross with Jack’s down the road of life. Cate and Mike, sometimes I think, “Are my parents listening?” Not to worry, your father always did. I hope you know how proud he was just to be your father. I think I only have met each of you once or twice over the years but your father shared his love for his family with all those he knew, and that love came through when ever he told a story or two….school, college, marriage, grandchildren, there was always a smile on his face when you asked , “How is Cate doing in school? How is Mike’s baby doing?” a smile and a story were sure to follow. Jean, scratching a few tickets and chatting about life on so many Wednesday nights always end with Jack requesting a few “winners” for “His Bride”. He loved you all so much. You are in my thoughts and prayers in the days to come.
“I am honored to call Jack Dowd my friend, and his death is a loss that will be felt for a long time to come. Knowing him was a privilege.”
