Germaine Soucy Obituary

Germaine M. (Lambert) Soucy longtime resident of Lowell; 83 LOWELL Germaine M. (Houle)(Lambert) Soucy, 83 years old, a longtime resident of Lowell, died Monday evening, October 15th, at D'Youville Senior Care, after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Roland J. Soucy, and the late Paul E. Lambert. She was born in Lawrence, on Nov. 27, 1923, a daughter of the late Ernest and Aline (Galarneau) Houle. She was a graduate St. Anne's High School, in Lawrence. Mrs. Soucy served on the Lord Manor Tenant's Council. Surviving her are two daughters and a son-in-law, Gabrielle Foss of Dracut; and Jeanne and Robert Higgins of Methuen; a son and daughter-in-law, Claude and Therese Lambert of Granby, MA; two stepsons, Roland J. Soucy of Franklin, NH; and Gerald R. and Eileen Soucy of Dracut; a brother, Rev. Andre Houle, OMI of Tewksbury; a stepbrother, Raymond Demers; six grandchildren, Stephanie, Bryan and Holly Foss, Melissa and Matthew Higgins, and Stephen Lambert; one great-granddaughter, Vanessa Charlotin; 10 step-grandchildren, Karen Weiler, Debra Bradley, Michael Soucy, Michelle, Sainola, Lisa Hannan, Scott Soucy, Stephen Soucy, David Soucy, Mark Soucy, and Pamela Hamel; 15 step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Gertrude Gregoire, and Robert Houle, and mother-in-law of the late Harvey C. Foss, and Maxine (McDonald) Soucy. SOUCY Friends may call from 9 to 10 AM on Saturday, October 20th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). Her Funeral Mass to be offered Saturday, October 20th at 10:30 AM at ST. RITA'S CHURCH, Lowell. Cremation to follow. Arrangements by Mahoney Funeral Home, www.mahoneyfuneralhome.com.

I would like to offer to the family of Aunt Germaine, my sincerest condolences and comfort to all of you. So many memories have risen these past couple of days. So sad to see another loved one go, but very happy to know that Aunt Germaine is now with God and our wonderful Blessed Mother.

While regretfully I cannot be with you at the funeral, please know I am with you in spirit and share in your loss.
