Gerald Prescott Obituary

Gerald F. 'Jerry' Prescott, Jr. of Dracut, formerly of Westford; 49 DRACUT Gerald F. "Jerry" Prescott, Jr., 49, a resident of Dracut, and a former Westford resident, died Sunday, October 21st, from injuries sustained in an accident. He was born in Lowell, on Dec. 2, 1957, and was a son of Alice T. (Bergeron) Prescott of Dracut, and the late Gerald F. Prescott. He received his education in Westford schools and was a graduate of Nashoba Valley Technical High School in Westford. Mr. Prescott was employed as a diesel mechanic by Wottons Auto in N. Chelmsford. Prior to that, he had been employed by several area garages. He was a member of the Tyngsboro American Legion Post #247. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Gerald F. Prescott III of Pelham, NH, and Daniel Prescott of Concord, NH; a daughter, Ashley Prescott of Lowell; a brother, Ronald Prescott of Austin, TX; a granddaughter, Abigail Alice; three sisters, Donna Tanguay and her husband, Richard of Nashua, NH, Linda Fluke of Austin, TX, and Michelle Prescott of Dracut; a longtime friend and mother of his daughter, Elaine Ducharme of Lowell; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins. Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Friday from 5 until 8 PM. His funeral will be held from the funeral home on Saturday at 10 AM followed by his Funeral Service at 11AM at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. Those who wish may make donations in his name to the Ashley Prescott Education Fund, TD Bank North, N.A., 32 Mammoth Rd., Lowell, MA 01854. Well words cannot even begin to express/explain how I am feeling about my brothers death. There is an empty space in my heart and it hurts like hell every day. I am not sure that Jay really knew how many loved him. Thanks to all that was there for my family, it was recognized and appreciated by all of us.
