Susan Johnson Obituary

Susan G. Johnson of Chelmsford, avid dog lover; 76 CHELMSFORD Susan G. (Bartling) Johnson, 76, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, died on Tuesday, October 23, 2007, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Kenneth C. "K.C." Johnson. She was born in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of the late Winston P. and Gwendolyn O. (VanCamp) Bartling. Most recently she worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for Tri-Jay of Westford, and before that she worked at Cooney Industrial in Chelmsford. She was an avid dog lover and raised champion Cairn Terriers. She had been a member of the Chelmsford Country Club, and was a past president of the Women's Golf League. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Chelmsford. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her two children, Paul H. Johnson and his wife, Denise of Stow, and Christine V. McGowan and her husband, Craig of East Sandwich. She was the grandmother of six, Taryn, Ryan and Scott McGowan and Sarah, Matthew and Michael Johnson. She also leaves her beloved brothers, Paul Landry and Bob Tremblay. JOHNSON Susan G. (Bartling) Johnson, 76, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, died on Tuesday, October 23, 2007, after a brief illness. Visiting hours will be held at the Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford on Friday from 4-8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Blake Funeral Home on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Burial in Pine Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Susan's name to the Lowell General Hospital, Cancer Center, Development Office, 275 Varnum Ave., Lowell, MA 01854.
