Frederick Furbish Obituary

Frederick J. Furbish Jr. of Chelmsford, RCA retiree, U.S. Army vet; 78 CHELMSFORD Frederick J. Furbish Jr., 78, of Chelmsford, died on Thursday, October 25, 2007, after a long battle with cancer. He was the husband of Marilyn A. (Welch) Furbish of Chelmsford. He was born in Portland, Maine, on June 30, 1929, the son of the late Frederick J. and Ida (Day) Furbish. Mr. Furbish was a Korean War Veteran who had served as a Corporal in the United States Army. He worked most of his life at RCA in Burlington, which later became GE, as an Electrical Engineer. He followed sports, enjoyed fixing cars and loved riding his motorcycle. Besides his wife, Mr. Furbish is survived by his children, Diane Furbish, Brian Furbish and Mark Furbish. He also leaves his grandchildren, Rachael Furbish, and Bonnie Turnbull and her husband, Dan; as well as his great-grandchildren, Devin Dylan and Nicholas Turnbull. He was also the brother of Francis Brown of Pittsfield, and Winnifred York of Portland, Maine. FURBISH Frederick J. Furbish Jr., 78, of Chelmsford, died on Thursday, October 25, 2007. Visiting hours will be held at Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford on Monday morning from 9 to 11. A Funeral Service will be held at Blake Funeral Home at 11 o'clock on Monday.
