Deborah Mason Obituary

Deborah Mason formerly of Chelmsford;81 BARRINGTON, RI Deborah (Grant) Mason, 81, of Barrington, R.I. and formerly of Chelmsford, passed away Saturday October 27, 2007. She was the beloved wife of David H. Mason of Barrington, R.I. Deborah was born in Lowell, on January 6, 1926 the daughter of the late James A. and Elsie (Cameron) Grant. She graduated from Chelmsford High School and Westbrook Jr. College in Portland, ME. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Mason worked as an administrative assistant for the Chelmsford Public Schools. She was a former member of the Central Congregational Church and the All Saints Episcopal Church, both in Chelmsford. She was an enthusiastic and accomplished gardener, and was a member of the Chelmsford Garden Club. She compassionately volunteered for the Lowell General Hospital Women's Auxiliary, and served on the Auxiliary Board of Directors. In addition to her husband, Deborah is also survived by her two sons; Bruce D. Mason and his wife Rosemary Cullen of Barrington, R.I. and Donald P. Mason and his wife Karen of Deerfield, N.H., and 2 grandchildren; Daniel Grant Mason and Heather Lindsay Mason. She also leaves a sister; Barbara G. Huntley. Mrs. Mason was the sister of the late Donald Cameron Grant who was killed in WWII. MASON Deborah (Grant) Mason, 81, of Barrington, R.I. and formerly of Chelmsford, died on Saturday Oct. 27, 2007. A graveside service will be held at Pine Ridge Cemetery, 130 Billerica Rd., Chelmsford, on Friday at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Deborah's name to the Lowell General Hospital, Development Office, 275 Varnum Ave., Lowell, MA 01854.
